Junior Lydonis Rowell
December 7, 1939 - September 30, 2023
Junior Lydonis Rowell, age 83, passed away on September 30, 2023, at his home in Franklinton, LA. He was a long-time resident of Washington Parish, where he was best known as “The Fisherman”. Mr. Rowell had a love for fishing and spent a lot of time doing what he loved. He was also a member of Sheridan Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by two children: Lydoris Lowery and Stanley Rowell; one granddaughter: Lydonia Randall; one great-granddaughter: Helena Jones; the mother of his children and his caregiver: Willie Creel Sheridan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rowell was preceded in death by two children: Winona Rowell and William Rowell; his parents: Edgar and Lexie Rowell; a brother: Lamar Rowell; and one sister: Margaret Ann Spears.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Tuesday, October 10, 2023, a memorial visitation will be held starting at 9:30AM in the funeral home chapel followed by a memorial service at 11AM. Bro. Charles Creel will officiate memorial service.
