13 Year-Old St. Tammany Female Student Arrested for Making a Hit List

A junior high student was arrested by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office after it was discovered she had prepared a “hit list.”

STPSO deputies were notified Wednesday (October 4, 2023) afternoon after a student at a Mandeville-area junior high school reported that another student had prepared a “hit list.”

The student, a 13-year-old female, admitted she made the list due to being bullied by the students listed. She was issued a summons for Menacing and was released to a parent on a custodial agreement to appear in court.

“We will continue to work with our schools to investigate any and all threats on our schools and the students who attend them and enforcement action will be taken when warranted,” Sheriff Randy Smith said.
