Lark Welborn Starnes

May 28, 1961 - July 5, 2024

Lark Welborn Starnes, age 63 and a resident of Bogalusa, died Friday morning July 5, 2024 at his home. He was born on May 28, 1961. Lark worked for many years as a handyman for his friends, family, neighbors and others that needed his expertise. He could perform just about any task that was needed. Lark was a person that would “give you the shirt off his back” and he was always willing to help people. He loved fishing, anywhere he could drop a line, and enjoyed working on his property.

Survived by: Brother and Sister in law: George William and Barbara Starnes of Pine; Sister and Brother in law: Mable and Stanley Chaney of Franklinton; Sister in law: Betty O’Bryant Starnes of Warnerton; Also numerous nieces, nephews and their families

He was preceded in death by his parents George Truman Starnes and Ruth Essie Hartzog Starnes, brother James O’Neil Starnes, sisters Melva Lee Taylor, Mary Luper, Jean Fairburn, Joan Williams, Deanie Stockstill, Ethel Nell Bates and other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday July 12th from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 4:00 pm Friday with Rev. Harold Gaddy officiating.
