Man Wanted in Tangipahoa Parish for Making $14,000 Fraudulent Purchase

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriffs Office is asking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect of theft by fraud. Sheriff Daniel Edwards says that, on September 25, 2023, a male using the name of “Raymond Stokes” conducted a over-the-phone purchase of an outboard motor from Boat City USA, valued at over $14,000. 

Later that day, a male entered the business and completed the purchasing paperwork for the motor. Boat City USA later learned the purchase was fraudulent after being contacted by the credit card company.
