Two fugitives from Pike County (MS) have been captured, reports the Pike County MS Sheriff's Office.
Moses Michaael Dillon, Jr., aka “Mickey” was captured August 14, 2023 in Johnson City, TN without incident. PCSO expressed their thanks to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Johnson City Police Department and Washington County Sheriff’s Office for assisting with apprehending Dillon. Dillon is wanted for questioning in reference to a Homicide with the PCSO. Dillon also has an active arrest warrant for Capital Murder with the Harris County Sheriff's Office in Houston, Texas. In a separate case, Cody Phelps was captured in Guntersville, Alabama on August 15, 2023. Phelps has been on the run since June 30, 2023. Officers had responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle, the driver (identified as Phelps) fled as officers arrived, and the vehicle was left in the middle of the roadway. PCSO officers found a substantial amount of illegal narcotics along with multiple bags of precious metals, gold coins, and silver dollar coins that were believed to have been stolen from the surrounding area. Cody was charged with two additional felonies by the Gunterville Police Department. When he is finished with his charges in Alabama, Phelps will be extradited back to Pike County.
