Disturbance 1. Tropical Storm Don is located in the central Atlantic with maximum sustained winds of 40 MPH. The storm should turn southwestward soon, turn westward tonight or on Thursday, and then northwestward on Friday with an increase in forward speed. There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
Disturbance 2. A tropical wave is located over the eastern tropical Atlantic centered a few hundred miles south of the Cabo Verde Islands. Environmental conditions could become more conducive for some development by this weekend while the wave moves westward across the central tropical Atlantic at 15 to 20 mph. Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent and formation chance through 7 days...low...20 percent.
