One Teen Arrested and One Teen Wanted for Lacombe Shooting

From a St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office Post
Adrian Cox (17) is wanted for attempted first-degree murder and simple kidnapping after he shot a 23-year-old Lacombe man March 5, 2017. A 15-year-old was arrested March 8 and is in Florida Parishes Detention Center charged with Simple Kidnapping, Attempted Armed Robbery, and Attempted First Degree Murder.
The victim and a friend had been sitting in a pickup truck when they were approached by Cox, armed with a pistol, and the 15-year-old, armed with a baseball bat. Cox demanded the victim's friend leave, demanded the victim turn over his property, and demanded the victim drive to the victim's home.

Cox and the 15-year-old rode in the bed of the pickup and, as they approached the victim's home, Cox fired approximately five shots through the rear glass of the truck. Two of the shots struck the victim and the truck crashed into a ditch. Cox and the 15-year-old fled and the victim was able to run home. Deputies found the victim in his driveway with a gunshot wound to his upper back and a second gunshot wound to the back of his arm.
Cox should be considered armed and dangerous, and any person who has information regarding the whereabouts of Adrian Cox is urged to contact the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers at (504) 822-1111. You can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward if the information leads to the arrest and conviction of Adrian Cox.
