Marijuana Plants and Paraphernalia Found at Franklinton Residence

Tyler Lee Robinson (30), a resident of Robert Road south of Franklinton, was arrested March 9, 2017 after Washington Parish Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force detectives reportedly found drug paraphernalia and marijuana plants growing on his property.
WPSO received information from a citizen that led them to an abandoned barn on Robert Road. While at the barn, detectives encountered Robinson who the WPSO say initially denied knowledge of paraphernalia found at the barn. Robinson then consented to a search of his residence where detectives found drug paraphernalia and the marijuana plants. Robinson reportedly admitted the plants were his and that he regretted planting them.
Sheriff Randy Seal commented. “This is another example of the value of a concerned citizen who reported a suspicious circumstance. I encourage all of our parish residents to report any unusual or suspicious circumstances to the Sheriff’s Office. As spring and summer rapidly approach, bringing out lawnmowers and all-terrain vehicles, thieves will be looking for easy targets to steal. I encourage all residents to always secure their equipment and to immediately report any thefts to our detective division.
