Paula Evans Strahan departed this life into God's presence on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Paula was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on September 21, 1956, to Roy and Delores Evans.
A proud homemaker, Paula devoted her life to caring for those she loved. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. She found happiness in life's simple pleasures—enjoying a good crawfish boil, tending to her flowers and plants with her gifted green thumb, and filling her home with the scent of her famous peach cobbler, a favorite among family and friends. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her sisters, Carolyn Albin, Billie Jean Evans, and Sue Hildebrand.
Left to forever cherish her memory are her husband of 37 years, Ronnie W. Strahan; her children, Jennifer Taylor, Kyle (Victoria) Taylor, and Eric Taylor; her stepchildren, Amy Pierce, Michael Strahan, and Toby Strahan; and her 11 beloved grandchildren, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Funeral services, officiated by Reverend Brett Creel, will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the service begins. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
