Minnie Pearl Brooks Lilly

July 12, 1941 - June 12, 2026

Minnie Pearl Brooks Lilly, age 84 and a resident of Pine, passed away Friday June 12, 2026 at Fair City Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was a lifelong member of Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church, that truly loved the Lord and her church family. She enjoyed going to Wal-Mart and Cracker Barrel, where she ate her favorite country-fried steak, dumplins and cinnamon apples. Minnie Pearl also liked to take her grandson Cody to Raising Canes. She loved her flowers and clothes, and she often liked to match her outfit with her daughter Betty Jean. Minnie Pearl loved family reunions and enjoyed cooking, especially her delicious pecan pie. She always liked decorating her yard and house with Christmas lights each year.

Survived by: Daughter: Betty Jean Lilly; Son: Thomas Ray Lilly; Grandsons: Cody Dillon, Cory and Lindsey Dillon; Sisters and Brothers in law: Nell and Keith Talley, Shirley and Kevin Talley; Brothers and Sisters in law: Wayne Brooks, David and Annette Brooks, James and Jodi Brooks, Jimmy and Adrine Brooks; Also numerous beloved nieces, nephews and their families

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Paul Lilly, daughter and son in law Linda Faye and Wayne Dillon, parents Hulon Son Brooks and Gladys Christine Tarver Brooks, sister Gladys Irene Brooks, brothers Hulon Leon Brooks, Ray Brooks, Hulon Brooks, Jr., Herbert Ray Brooks, Paul Brooks, Larry Earl Brooks, Peter Harold Brooks and other family members.

Visitation will be at Faith Tabernacle Church Friday June 19th from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 4:00 pm Friday with Rev. Jerry Cox and Rev. Jeff Dykes officiating. Burial will follow in the Faith Tabernacle Church Cemetery.
