Sedgie "Bo" Wilkes
February 17, 1969 - June 13, 2026
Sedgie "Bo" Wilkes, age 57 and a resident of Mt. Hermon, LA passed away at his home on Saturday afternoon, June 13, 2026 after a lengthy illness. Bo was close to his family, especially his mother, who has been a devoted caregiver for the last 33 years. His stepfather, Mr. Janson Burch, dedicated the last 20 years to Bo as well, going above and beyond each day. He loved his children and grandchildren with all of his heart. He always put others before himself. He had a smile that would light up any room he was in. He was a gentle and caring man. Bo loved wrestling and sports. He especially loved fishing with his daddy.
Survived by: Son: Travis Wilkes and Kelli English; Daughter: Tabitha Williams; Mother and stepfather: Patricia and Janson Burch; Grandchildren: Raeleigh Martin, Parker Wilkes, Makenna Williams, Kolton Knight, Stella Wilkes, Gracie Wilkes; Sister and brother-in-law: Lisa Jenkins and Chris Dainty; Brother and sister-in-law: Craig and Amanda Wilkes; Brothers: Ted Wilkes and Wayne Wilkes; Aunts: Pamela Hodges and Margaret Miller; Nieces and Nephews: Shon Polk, Emily Ard and Joe Papiro , Sonya Ard, Rayven and Ryan Tidwell, Destiny Lavingnette, Ar’Bree Wilkes, Oakleigh Wilkes, Amie and Samuel Lumpkin, Emily and Nicholas Graphia, Destinee Ann, Austin and Mallorie Wilkes, Abbey and Jacob Glover, Dustin and Stacy Wilkes, Starla and John Gentry; Numerous great-nieces and great-nephews
He was preceded in death by his father Samuel Wilkes, a brother Sammy Wilkes, grandfather Sedgie Wilkes, grandmothers Vera Wilkes and Joyce Wilkes, uncle Mardie Hodges, granddaughter Sadie Wilkes, great-nieces Mikalah Polk and Kailyn Polk.
Visitation will be Crain Funeral Home Monday June 15th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Monday with Rev. Cecil Burch officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
