Robert Earl "Chi Chi" Williams

January 26, 1975  -  April 7, 2026

Robert Earl "Chi Chi" Williams of Slidell, Louisiana passed away on April 7, 2026, at the age of 51. Born on January 26, 1975 in Bogalusa, Louisiana, he is the beloved son of David Williams and Debbie Greer Williams.

Robert is the adored husband of 12 memory filled years to Heather Calvert Williams; proud father of Peyton, Devanie, and Robbi Williams; cherished brother of Michael Williams and Tracy Higginbotham. He also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends, all of whom he loved greatly.

Robert spent 33 years working as a tug boat captain, a career that reflected his dedication and skill. He took great pride in his work and was respected for his experience and commitment. His long career on the water was a meaningful part of his life, and it stood as a testament to his strong work ethic. Through the years, he formed lasting connections with those he worked alongside, and he earned the respect of many through his steady leadership.

Robert found joy in the things that connected him to the outdoors and to the people he loved. He enjoyed fishing and duck hunting, and he appreciated the peace and satisfaction that came from spending time in nature. Robert also had a talent for wood working and craftsmanship. His work reflected patience and an eye for detail, qualities that were evident in many areas of his life.

Above all else, Robert loved spending time with his wife and children. He treasured the moments he spent with his family and found happiness in being with them in both ordinary days and special occasions.

Those who knew Robert will remember him as a man whose presence brought comfort and joy to those around him. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell. A funeral service will begin in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Robert will be laid to rest in Audubon Memorial Gardens Cemetery following services.
