Stephanie Michelle Scott Myers

December 13, 1963 — March 22, 2026

Stephanie Michelle Scott Myers departed this life on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Our Lady of Angels Hospital, Bogalusa surrounded by family and friends. She was called home after a long painful fight against cancer. She was a very strong woman. She was born on December 13, 1963, to the late Harry P. Scott and the late Irma Jean Scott-Crain. She was a life-long resident of Bogalusa.

She was baptized at an early age at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church. She attended Bogalusa High School.

In the year 2008, Stephanie was united in Holy Matrimony with Denver Myers.

By many family members, she was known as Tak, Sidney, Chicken, Twins, Staph, Steph and many more by those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry P. Scott and Irma Scott-Crain; grandparents, Phillip Hegwood and Margaret Williams, brother, Linzie Scott Sr.; two sisters, Valarie and Gwendolyn Scott; a nephew, Jarvarius (Jadayoungan) Scott and a niece, Deundra Taylor.

She leaves to cherish loving memories by her loving and devoted son, Tregg Scott and daughter, Donna Scott, both of Bogalusa, one step- son, Denver (Pace) Foster, and adopted son, Kevin Powe, both of Baton Rouge, LA.

Stephanie was a loving grandmother of thirteen biological grandchildren, and leaves cherished memories with Da’Niya Holloway, Tristian Blatcher, Da’Niyla, Don’Tavious, Da’Nirya, and Da’Zirya Scott, Kobe and Kyro Mingo, Da’Miya and Don’Travious Baker, Christian and Treveon Bickham, Nasir Collins, and two grandchildren through marriage Mark Amos and Trevonne Mingo.

Stephanie will always be remembered by her siblings, Sinatra (L.C.), and Jefferson. Webster Scott, Frederick (Sylvan) Scott, Daneal Scott, Ursula Scott, Laneque Scott, Stephan Scott and LinTerrickia Scott and a loving sister-in-law, Shirley (Cleophus) Guy and many more and a host of nieces, nephews. She loved all nieces and nephews, but Pencil Head, Ken, Javerious, and Shuna were her favorites. She also leaves multiple grieving hearts of close friends, Jackie Hooker, Edwena Jefferson, Michael Robinson, Cathy Johnson, Donald Harris.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 12:00PM - 2:00PM followed by the funeral service at 2:00PM at Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church 1104 Poplas Street Bogalusa, Louisiana 70427 with Rev. Willie Gallager, Officiating. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
