Dwayne Randall Miller

July 15, 1940 - November 8, 2025

Dwayne Randall Miller, age 85 and a resident of Mandeville, passed away Saturday afternoon November 8, 2025 at his home. He was born on July 15, 1940 and grew up in Mount Hermon. Randall played basketball as a young man and graduated from Mt. Hermon High School before attending Southeastern Louisiana University. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. After completing his military service, Randall obtained a Master’s Degree from Georgia State University. He had a long career in computer programming for Norfolk-Southern Railway before retiring. He always enjoyed spending time at the family property in the beautiful north Georgia mountains, going on family vacations and had also taken some Caribbean cruises. Randall liked to spend time on his computer and drink coffee, while visiting with his friends. He was a devoted father and grandfather that loved spending quality time with his grandchildren and trying to teach his young great-grandchildren to call him “Pop Pop”.

Survived by: Daughter: Stacey Miller Austin of Mandeville; Grandchildren and Spouses: Peyton and Dustin Glover of McChord A.F.B. in Washington state, Madison and Kaleb Davis of Virginia Beach, VA; Dylan and Trinity Austin of Turtletown, TN,; Cody Austin of Mandeville; Great-grandsons: Daemon and Cyrus; Sister in law: Anelia Miller of Baton Rouge; Also several brothers in law and sisters in law and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Anne Gary Miller, parents David H. Miller and Hester Wascom Miller, brother Walden Eugene Miller, brother and sister in law David Earl and Mary Miller, sister and brother in law Ruth Nell and Jim Kinnison and other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Monday November 17th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Monday. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
