Michael Monroe Duncan
December 5, 1961 - November 7, 2025
Michael Monroe Duncan, age 63 and a resident of Mount Hermon, passed away peacefully at his home Friday morning November 7, 2025. He was born in Franklinton on December 5, 1961 and graduated from Mt. Hermon High School Class of 1979. He soon began working as a deck hand on tugboats for several years, worked with Martin Chemical and served as an electrician for a time. Mike later worked as an automobile mechanic with Duncan’s Auto Repair for many years before retiring. He loved deer hunting, fishing and spending time in the outdoors. He enjoyed riding and doing chores on his tractor. Recently, Mike enjoyed watching his favorite western and sci-fi TV shows and movies.
Survived by: Wife: Patricia Nichols Duncan of Mt. Hermon; 3 Sons and Daughters in law: Michael Joseph and Shantell Duncan, Jason Monroe Duncan, Andrew Charles and Megan Duncan; 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Hailey Marie Duncan Anthony and C.J. Anthony. Sabrina Nicole Duncan; 14 Grandchildren and 1 Great-grandchild; Parents: Monroe Duncan and Dorothy Lewis Duncan; Sister and Brother in law: Susan and Duane McNeese; Special Friend: Sharon Gail Duncan; Also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Elmer and Lona Duncan, Rev. John and Mary Lewis, father in law and mother in law Cleveland Ohio Nichols and Dorothy Mae Nichols and other family members.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday November 11th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Tuesday with Rev. Jeff Garner and Rev. Randall Garcia officiating. Burial will follow in the Maples Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to help with final expenses.
