An investigation into suspected drug at a Slidell residence has resulted in the arrest of 34-year-old Isamar Muhammad and an arrest warrant issued for 34-year-old James Francis Muhammad.
On April 28, 2025, detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Proactive Enforcement Unit and the STPSO Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 3700 block of Brookwood Drive inside Slidell city limits after receiving information that there was drug activity taking place at the home while children were present.
A search of the home led to the discovery and seizure of 80 grams of Methamphetamine, 9 MDMA tablets, 6.7 grams of Cocaine and assorted drug paraphernalia, which included digital scales and packaging materials. Also located inside home were an AK-47 pistol, candy containing THC and an assortment of unlawfully possessed prescription medications.
A toddler and an infant were located at the residence when detectives responded to execute the search warrant, and the Department of Children and Family Services were notified.
Eight dogs were turned over to the St. Tammany Parish Animal Services after they too were located in the home and it was determined they were not being cared for properly.
Isamar Muhammad was arrested on numerous drug-related charges, possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS, and Cruelty to Animals (8 counts). James Francis Muhammad was not present during the search, has since refused to cooperate with detectives, has failed to turn himself in, and will be booked on the same charges when he is located and taken into custody.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of James Francis Muhammad is urged to contact the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office by calling (985) 898-2338.
