Virginia Ruth Galloway
March 21, 1936 - May 11, 2025
Virginia Ruth Galloway, age 89 and of Bogalusa, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at her residence.
Mrs. Galloway was a member of Pettitt Memorial Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Reed Jones and Elvie Galloway Jones; her husband, Wayward Galloway; son, Durand Galloway; three brothers, Shelby Jones, Venson Jones, William Jones; three sisters, Louise Wascom, Dixie Girdler, and Clara McKee.
Family members include her daughter, Fawn Galloway; and son, Barren Galloway and his wife, Ellen.
Graveside funeral services will be held in Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery (57500 Knapp Thomas Road, Bogalusa, LA 70427) on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 10:30 am. Rev. Tommy Pittman will officiate the service.
Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory in Bogalusa, Louisiana is in charge of arrangements.
