Neva Morgan Goff
January 5, 1935 - January 30, 2025
Born in Tangipahoa Parish on January 5, 1935, Neva grew up in the San Pedro community and graduated from Franklinton High School in 1953, where she was homecoming queen for that year. She and her husband, Jack, owned and operated the Rapid Banquet in Bogalusa during the 1970’s, and then later opened and ran Northlake Produce in Bogalusa. She loved flowers and had a knack for growing things, especially beautiful roses. She and Jack loved to sit on their back porch in the evenings and watch the birds and animals that could be found wandering into their back yard from the woods beyond the yard. She loved spending time with her family, especially the time spent with her grandchildren. She and her husband were members of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Bogalusa, but had been home-bound since 2020. After losing Jack in March, 2024, she lived with her daughter in Mt. Hermon and spent lots of time with her son and daughter-in-law in the Magnolia, MS area.
Survived by: Daughter Shirley Scardino, Son Greg (Janet) Touchstone, bonus daughters Velvet (Bubba) Johnson, Tammy (Rocky) Vaughn, and Tina Van Gordon. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, and a brother: Dennis Morgan.
Preceded in death by: Husband Jack Goff, Daughter Sandra Touchstone, Grandsons Robert Kelly Touchstone and James Louis Scardino Jr., her parents Claiborne and Wilda Morgan, and brothers Kelly Morgan, Kenneth Morgan and Dolan Morgan.
