Peter Frank Voltolina, Jr.
January 20, 1934 - September 30, 2024
Peter Frank Voltolina, Jr., age 90 and a resident of the Pine Community, passed away Monday September 30, 2024 at his home. He was a native and former longtime resident of New Orleans before moving to Washington Parish in 1979. Pete was retired after a career with the City of New Orleans, working as a civil engineer. He was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran with the rank of Sergeant, serving in the 2nd Recon Division while stationed in Okinawa and other bases. After moving to his farm, Pete began raising horses, cows and goats as well as gardening for vegetables. He later became active in a goat farmer’s association. Pete was always a hard worker and talented with his hands as a welder, woodworker and leathersmith, making many leather belts and wallets. He was an excellent cook and also made homemade Sangria wine. Pete adored his family and grandchildren and some of their fondest memories include working with him around the farm and making Italian donuts together in his kitchen each Christmas Eve.
Survived by: 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Brenda and Terry Brumfield of Franklinton, Carol Hall of Pine; 8 Grandchildren: Jason Voltolina, Nicole Voltolina, Anthony Voltolina, Vincent Voltolina, Vera and Michael Baham, Jay Freeman, Alexandra Kemp, Hagen Hall; 9 Great-grandchildren: Justus Voltolina, Dominic Voltolina, Alexus Voltolina, Gabriel Voltolina, Gia Voltolina, Caiden Crowe, Chloe Baham, Nash Morris, Dawson Morris; 1 Great-great-grandchild: Leo Owens; Sister in law: Delores Voltolina; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members
He was preceded in death by his son Clifford Voltolina, wife Ruby Blakeman Voltolina, parents Peter Frank Voltolina, Sr. and Frances Engolia Voltolina, brother Rudy Voltolina, brother and sister in law Albert and Joyce Voltolina, sister and brother in law Elsa and Bill Lecke and other family members.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday October 4th in the Voltolina Family Cemetery near his home. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 24.

Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton, Louisiana is in charge of arrangements.
