Michael Dale Williams

March 2, 1954 - August 28, 2024

Michael Dale Williams, a native of Bogalusa, LA, passed away Wednesday August 28, 2024, at Heritage Manor in Mandeville, LA. at the age of 70. Michael Dale was born in Bogalusa, La. on March 2, 1954, to the late Clyde A. and Masel Pace Williams.

He was a graduate of Bogalusa High School and Southeastern Louisiana University. After graduating he took time to travel around Europe before returning home, then moving to Portland, Oregon and eventually returning to his home in Bogalusa.

When he was 5 years old, he received a ukulele for Christmas which started his lifelong obsession with music. He enjoyed writing and playing music with his friends.

His other love was traveling and being outdoors, camping, hiking, & rafting.

Dale is survived by his son Michael Jerod Williams, of Portland, Oregon, his sister Janet Williams Schooley (Michael) of Lake Worth, FL, his twin brother David Williams (Sherri) of Bush, La; his nieces and nephews Stacey Kenner Carpenter (Shane), Robert Schooley (Andrea), Laura Williams Barfield (Kyle) and Josh Williams; his two great-nieces Katherine and Ainsley, and three great-nephews, Harrison, Logan, and Hayden. He was also like a brother to his cousin Jackie Pace. Denise Williams, Dales best friend and loving companion for the past thirteen years, is also left behind to mourn his passing.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clyde A. Williams and Masel Pace Williams, sister Bette Williams Keener, and brother-in-law Danny Keener, as well as his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Celebration of life for Dale will be held at Hillview Memorial Gardens at 11:00 am September 21, 2024.
