Tropical Storm Beryl is expected to become a hurricane later today or tonight before it reaches the Texas coast.. Beryl is currently located about 220 miles southeast of Corpus Christi, Texas moving northwest at 12 MPH with maximum sustained winds of 60 MPH. A turn toward the north-northwest is expected tonight, with a turn toward the north on Monday. On the forecast track, the center of Beryl is expected to make landfall on the Texas coast Monday morning. This is a life-threatening situation for those along the northwestern Gulf of Mexico coast.
