Charles R. Mizell

June 4, 1949 - June 2, 2024

Charles R. Mizell, age 74, passed away in his home on Saturday, June 2, 2024. He was a native of Bogalusa and a veteran of the United States Army Reserve. He was a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University. He worked in Orthotics and Prosthetics for over 30 years. Charles’ true passion was enjoying the outdoors, fishing, and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by one brother: James “Bill” Mizell (Cathy); one niece: Lynn Mizell (Tami); a nephew: Chris Mizell (Anna); great-niece and great-nephews: Jake Mizell, Chase Mizell, Abby Perry and Remi Mizell; special close cousins, as well as, a community of loving neighbors and friends; and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Charles was preceded in death by his parents: William P. Mizell and Elaine Parker Mizell.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Visitation will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 12PM until time of service at 2PM. Dr. Waylon Bailey will lead the service. Interment will immediately follow at Hillview Cemetery, where military honors will be rendered
