Dantrell Dantrey “City“ Brown was born to Taurey R. Brown on June 9, 1991, in New Orleans, LA. Dantrell was called home on April 22, 2024.
He was baptized at Central Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. E. S. Terry. He was a believer of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Dantrell attended Harden Elementary School, and Lawless Jr. High School. He was a freewill kind of guy. He loved having fun, spending time with family and friends, and of course he loved to dress. He was also a fighter. He traveled around to various places to fight. He won several trophies from his fights. Dantrell was known by everyone as the name City because he would tell everyone he talked to, “I am from the city, which is how he got the name City.
He leaves to cherish his memories his brother, Jamal Brown of New Orleans, LA; his grandmother, Elaine L. Brown of Bogalusa, LA.; uncles, Russell L. (Joyce) Brown of St. Marcos TX. and Rolando Brown of Gretna, LA.; aunts, Ollie Varnado of Dayton, Ohio; cousins, Nikia and Tiffany Miller of New Orleans, and a host of cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Taurey R. Brown; grandfather, Russell Brown; great grandparents, Louise Martin, Jerry Miller, Pearlie A. Brown Dawson and Rochell Magee; great aunts, Gerald Miller, Bobbie B. Warren, William Miller, and Ruth Dillon; great uncles, Shaffie Dillon, Roy Brown and Landus Warren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at New Triumph Baptist Church with Rev. E.L. Powell - Officiating.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
