Bogalusa City Council Agenda for Jan. 18, 2024

The Agenda includes the following:

ELECTION OF PRESIDENT AND VICE-PRESIDENT

ADOPTIONS OF RESOLUTIONS:

• A RESOLUTION for the City of Bogalusa Departmental Cost Savings Committee. 
• A RESOLUTION to readopt (override) the veto dated December 28, 2023 relating to “A Resolution to request an opinion from the Attorney General from the State of Louisiana relating to watermarks”.

INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES:

• AN ORDINANCE relating to general spending freeze in the City of Bogalusa as proposed by the City Council.
• AN ORDINANCE to appoint Arata Law Office, LLC, as special legal counsel for the Bogalusa City Council for purposes of providing legal counsel and representation for any and all matters which the council deems appropriate.

PUBLIC HEARINGS & ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES:

• AN ORDINANCE authorizing the mayor to enter into a contract with Clean Cut Waterworks, LLC., for a six-inch collapsed water main. 
• AN ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor of the City of Bogalusa to enter into a Lease Agreement with Washington Parish Council on Aging.
• AN ORDINANCE to appeal an amendment by Mayor Truong to the Council agenda as it relays to an introduction to the City of Bogalusa Water Bill Ordinance, to otherwise provide with respect thereto.
• AN ORDINANCE for the City of Bogalusa Customer’s Water Bill Payment Plan. 
• AN ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor of the City of Bogalusa to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Bogalusa and the Washington Parish Government for use of equipment and other matters per the written Agreement attached for 2024. 
• AN ORDINANCE for the City of Bogalusa Airport Animal Restriction. 
• AN ORDINANCE for the City of Bogalusa Airport Hangar Occupation Prohibition. 
• AN ORDINANCE amending Section 21-83 Zoning Code setting a minimum square footage of requirement of all residential homes within the City of Bogalusa.
