Mrs. Etta Magee is retiring from the Washington Parish Library after more than 30 years of dedicated work. At the last Parish Council meeting on December 4th, Parish President Ned Thomas recognized Mrs. Magee for her years of service with a proclamation. His administration, as well as the Parish Council, all echoed their appreciation of Mrs. Magee and the work she has done for the Library and the community.
On Saturday, December 9th, Library staff held a retirement celebration for Mrs. Magee and her family. During the event, family, friends, staff, and Library Board members expressed what having Mrs. Magee in their lives has meant to them. While everyone is sorry to see her leave, all can agree that she deserves a happy and peaceful retirement. Mrs. Magee’s retirement will begin in January 2024.
