Son Charged With Stabbing His Mother

Jireh Adoma, age 19 and of the Slidell-area, has been charged with attempted murder after he stabbed his mother Friday (August 25, 2023) morning, says the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched at approximately 7 a.m. to a residence in the 100 block of Hoover Drive after a woman called 911 to report her grown son had stabbed her. STPSO detectives learned Jireh Adoma stabbed his mother during an unprovoked attack inside their home.

The mother was transported to a local hospital, where she was treated and later released.

Adoma was transported and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on one count of  Attempted Second-degree Murder.
