Tera Thomas

January 20, 1973 - August 26, 2023

God saw you getting tired,

When a cure was not to be,

So he wrapped his arms around you,

And whispered “Come to Me”,

You didn’t deserve what you went through.,

So he gave you rest,

Gods garden must be beautiful,

For he only takes the best.

Tera Thomas was called to her heavenly home on August 26, 2023 at the age of 50 after a long battle with health issues that she fought long and hard.

Tera was a member of Spring Hill Missionary Church where she was always willing to lend a helping hand to the community.  She had a big heart and always put others first.

She leaves to cherish her daughter Mikelle Thomas of Bogalusa, LA; a son Tristian Torres of Bogalusa, LA; two sisters Chantelle Thomas and Dena Talley of Bogalusa, LA; brother Shane (Jane) Thomas of Angie, LA; three grandsons James ”Lil’Man” Peters of Bogalusa, LA, Chancellor and Jamyia Jefferson of Angie, LA; and a host of close cousins behind.

She also leaves a very special friend Dempsey Lewis and his sister Ella Lewis Lee.

She is preceded in death by her grandmothers Oneida Thomas and Doris McLain; her mother Leveda Thomas; her father VL Thomas; Step Father Joseph Noble; an uncle Travis Thomas; aunts Linda Thomas and Joan Vince; a brother-in-law Eddie Talley and her son Chance Thomas.

Poole Ritchie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and a memorial to celebrate Tera’s life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the Lewis Family and Rev. Irwin and the Family at Spring Hill Missionary Church that were always right by her side.
