Alton Troy Wilson, II
February 11, 1975 - August 21, 2023
Alton Troy Wilson, II, age 48 and a lifelong resident of Mount Hermon, died early Monday morning August 21, 2023 at his home. He was a Class of 1993 graduate of Mt. Hermon High School, where he was a member of the Yellow Jackets basketball team. Troy loved all sports, playing little league baseball and football for many years, and later helping coach his son’s baseball team. He always enjoyed watching LSU football and other sports teams. Troy worked on the family dairy farm for many years. Recently, he was active with Narcotics Anonymous (N.A.) groups. Troy really enjoyed attending the meetings and appreciated the fellowship he shared with his leaders, mentors and others. Together they strengthened each other’s faith and understanding for a better life.
Survived by: 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Cassie Alayne Wilson, Macey Wilson and Brandon Lapharaohs; Son: Trenton Wilson; Grandchildren: Kori Caylix Fontenot, Kainen Keith Fontenot, Kyler Wayne Wilson, Keelie Brianne Fontenot; Mother: Brenda Schilling Wilson; Also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends
He was preceded in death by his daughter Hannah Wilson, brother Spencer Wilson, father Alton Troy Wilson, Sr., grandparents Horace Wilson and Dale McElveen Wilson, Sam Schilling and Cleo Goings Schilling.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Friday August 25th from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 pm Friday with Rev. Randall Garcia officiating. Burial will follow in the Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Cemetery.
