District Attorney Warren Montgomery reports that on June 1, 2023, a St. Tammany Parish grand jury indicted Mario Andre Scott, age 41 and of Slidell, on two counts of first-degree murder for a double homicide that occurred in Slidell on March 4, 2023. He was also charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies.

Detective Scott O’Shaughnessy of the Slidell Police Department investigated the case. Assistant District Attorneys Caroline Barkerding and Ronnie Gracianette presented the case to the Grand Jury.
