David Edward Scott
August 14, 1962 - May 31, 2023
David Edward Scott, age 60 and a resident of Angie, passed away Wednesday night May 31, 2023 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was a graduate of Varnado High School Class of 1980 and worked several years for the Local 406 union of heavy equipment maintenance and operators. He also worked for a time at Miles Sawmill. Following a tragic accident, Edward lost the ability to walk and was confined to a wheelchair for the remainder of his life, but he Never Stopped Living. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and he raised fox hounds. With the help of his friends, his dogs competed and placed in numerous field trials through the years. He always loved to watch and hear them run at the many fox pens they visited throughout the area. Edward was a member of Monroe’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church that enjoyed visiting with his friends on the phone. He watched The Price Is Right every weekday and liked to watch Gunsmoke and other Old Western movies and TV shows. Edward kept a loving spirit and positive attitude until the very end and he will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
