Dorothy Louise Dedon
January 29, 1939 - June 3, 2023
Dorothy Louise Dedon, age 84 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Saturday June 3, 2023 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. She worked as a seamstress at Rutter Rex in Franklinton for 21 years. Louise enjoyed setting up and hanging pretty solar lights at her home. She enjoyed cooking for her family, especially her delicious fried chicken. Louise liked to complete puzzle books and loved spending time with her family.
Survived by: 4 Daughters and Sons in law: Geneva and Gary Dale Sumrall, Elizabeth and Don Morse, Peggy and Wilford Magee, Duck and Tyrone Seal; 12 Grandchildren and Spouses; 25 Great-grandchildren; 1 Great-great-grandchild; Sister: Eddie Mae Spears; Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members
She was preceded in death by her husband Grover Cleveland Dedon, Varadam Spears and Ida O’Bryant Spears, brothers Elbert Spears, Edward Spears, Toxie Spears, granddaughter Mevelyne Lynette Sumrall, great-grandson Aaron Eugene Riley.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday June 8th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm Friday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Friday with Rev. Rusty Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the Nobles Cemetery.
