Kenneth Devoy Simmons
February 28, 1954 - June 2, 2023
Kenneth Devoy Simmons, age 69 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Friday morning June 2, 2023 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. He worked for many years at Dairyman, Inc. and later worked at Wal-Mart in Bogalusa for the last several years. Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He attended First Baptist Church of Franklinton and enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.
Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: Jennifer Thames Bennett and Dewaine Bennett of Picayune, MS; Grandchildren: Elizabeth Thames, Doyle Thames, Hayley Smith; Great-grandchildren: Ja’Khel Davis, Paisley Stage Thames; Brother: Ricky Simmons; Sister and Brother in law: Courtney and Bug Shilling; Special Friends: Dennis Morgan and Stanley Magee
He was preceded in death by his father Devoy Simmons, mother Willie Mae Hinson and other family members.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday June 6th at 11:00 am at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joey Miller and his friend Raymond officiating.
