Obituary

Robert Darren Dillon

June 8, 1969 – December 29, 2022

Robert Darren Dillon, age 53 and of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Darren was born in Franklinton, Louisiana to Richard Donald Dillon and Patricia Dianne Dillon.

 He was preceded in death by his brother, Bryan Clint Dillon and his grandparents, Robert E. & Althea C. Magee and Hulon R. & Winnette M. Dillon. 

He is survived by his wife, Ashley Stabler Dillon; his children, William Magee Dillon, Marguerite Mellette Dillon, Madeleine Maclou Dillon, John Stabler Gallion and William Stanford Gallion; his parents, Richard & Dianne Dillon; and his brother, Grant (Pam) Dillon.

A graduate of LSU, he also attended Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama. He earned the rank of Captain working as a dentist within the US Army National Guard. Many will remember Darren as a dentist in the Montgomery area, others will remember a LSU fan who cheered for his team and the school that shaped him professionally. But his family and close friends will remember how he treasured each with a warm and unique encouragement. All family members would say, "he was just a joy to be around."

A friends and family visitation for Darren will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 305 S Perry St, Montgomery, Alabama 36104, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 4:00 PM.
