Jean Gonsoulin Lugo

November 30, 1938 - January 2, 2023

Mrs. Jean Gonsoulin Lugo entered eternal rest peacefully on Monday January 02, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 83. Mrs. Jean was born in New Orleans on November 30th, 1939 and a longtime resident of Harahan, La and Franklinton, La.

Proud mother of her children: Son, Efrain E.J. Lugo Jr. (Anne), Daughters; Lisa Lugo Newsome (J.D.), and Jamie Lugo Fleetwood (Jason).

Surviving brother: Wayne J. Gonsoulin, Sr. (Miriam), Brothers-in-law; James Georgusis, and Presly Comeaux. Also survived by sisters-in-law; Judy Gonsoulin, Edna L. Cash, Marta L. Bender, Edda L. Gendusa, and Josephine L. Walls, stepsister: Sally B. Hendrick, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Proud Grandmother of Erica Parrack (Paul), Paige Lugo (Aaron), Kaityn Lugo (C.J.), and Lydia Jean Fleetwood. Treasured great grandsons are Corbin and Cade Parrack, a precious and beautiful great granddaughter Brylee Dover.

Preceded in death by her husband Efrain Lugo, Sr. (Frank) of 62 years, parents; William A. Gonsoulin, Sr., and Doris Dupaquier Gonsoulin Bernard, brothers; Thomas J. Honsoulin, and William A. Gonsoulin, Jr., sisters; Linda Gonsoulin Comeaux, and June Gonsoulin Georgusis.
