Karen Lynn Nielsen
July 17, 1971 - January 1, 2023
On January 1, 2023, Miss Karen Nielsen passed away at Tulane Medial Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Miss Nielsen was born and raised in Bogalusa and remained a life-long resident. She enjoyed photography, sewing, and was a member of Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She was survived by her mother: Donna Nielsen; one sister: Emily Nielsen-Sharp; a maternal grandmother: Geradine Boone; three nephews: Matthew Nielsen, Blake Nielsen, and Joseph Sharp, Jr.; one niece: Brittany Stewart; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Miss Nielsen was preceded by her father: Benjamin Nielsen; one maternal grandfather: Alvin Jr. Walston; and her paternal grandparents: Martin and Ruth Nielsen.
A private memorial service will be held at a family member’s home. Please contact immediate family for details of memorial service.
