Pansy G. Peters

December 17, 1950 - January 13, 2023

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.         II Timothy 4:7-8

Pansy G. Peters departed this life on Friday, January, 13, 2023 in Bogalusa, LA.

She was born in New Orleans, LA on December 17, 1950 to the late Willis and Jessie Mae Peters. She united with St. Paul A.M.E. Church under the leadership of Rev. T.C. Johnson. She was a faithful member and served as stewardess, a pastor’s aide and a Lay person.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sisters: Burnett Walker, of Bogalusa, LA and Bernell Peters of Atlanta, GA; a one brother, Willis Peters of Bogalusa, LA; a God child, Melvin Lester of Bogalusa, LA and a host of relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Willis and Jessie Mae Peters; her sisters, Eleanor J. Magee and Willistean L. Peters; one brother, Barnard A. Peters; one niece, Jessie Aretha Peters; three nephews, Ramus D. Magee, Willis Michael Peters, Jr., and Willie Eugene Peters.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00AM at St. Paul A.M.E. Church with Rev. Dr. Kerry James – Pastor Officiating. Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
