Alfreda Mae Johnson

May 8, 1951 - September 6, 2022

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8

On Tuesday, September 6, 2022, Alfreda was called by our Heavenly Father to live eternally in his Heavenly home with him.

Alfreda Mae Johnson was born on May 8, 1951 to the late Archille Butler and Alice Landry Butler, the youngest of six children.

Alfreda grew up in New Orleans, La. She along with the late James “Jimmy” Druhet, Sr., are the parents of three children, James (Catherine)Jr, Derrick, (Kasha) Sr. and Craig, (Keena) Sr.

Alfreda was bold, graceful, resilient, and full of love. She loved life, the New Orleans Saints, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

Alfreda leaves to cherish her loving memories, her beloved husband Homer Johnson; her children, James, Catherine) Jr., (Derrick, (Kasha) Sr. and Craig (Keena)Sr.; sisters, Claudia Farve and Jamell Butler; a brother, Cornell Butler, Sr.; grandchildren, James Druhet III, JaJuan Druhet, Craig Druhet Jr., Isaiah Druhet, Alaysia Watson, Nyshea Brown, Latifah Druhet, Derrick Druhet, Jr., David Druhet, and Benjamin Druhet; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Archille Butler and Alice Butler Landry; first husband, James’s “Jimmy” Druhet Sr.; brother, Archille Joseph Butler; sister, Estelle Butler; and twin granddaughters, Cyndie and Bailey Druhet.

The Funeral Service will be September 17, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton, Louisiana.
