Willie Eugene Jefferson

March 26, 1970 - August 25, 2022

Willie Eugene Jefferson was born March 26, 1970, to Donald Earl Jefferson Sr. and Oralee Brumfield Jefferson.  He peacefully departed this life in Carrollton, TX, on August 25, 2022.

Willie, the seventh of seven children, grew up in “Richardson Town” in Bogalusa, LA.  He was educated in the Bogalusa School System and attended Job Corps.  He was baptized at an early age by Rev. Warren Bolds, Sr.

Willie made his home in Dallas, TX, and was employed as a printer by the Dallas Morning News and a first pressman for retail graphics.  He was employed with R & L Carrier until his death.

He leaves to cherish his memories a son: Darius Jefferson of Decatur, GA; three brothers: Charles (Derene) Moses of New Orleans, La, Donald (Brenda) Jefferson of Bogalusa, LA, and Darrell W. Jefferson of Poplarville, MS; two sisters: Jerrydean (Kenneth W.) Peters of Bogalusa, LA, and Lynda J. (Richard) Owukori of Dallas, TX; a nephew but raised as a brother: Richard (Tonelle) Robinson of Bogalusa, LA; a close niece and nephew: Jerica (Jason and Avianna) Dykes of Round Rock, TX, and Gabriel Owukori of Dallas, TX; two uncles: Jerry (Annette) Jefferson and J. W. Brumfield all of Houston, TX; two aunts: Ladoris Jefferson of Los Angeles, CA, and Mary Jefferson of St. Louis, MO; and a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, and longtime friends.

He was preceded in death by parents, grandparents, and one brother, Isaac Moses.

Services will be on September 11, 2022 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the Funeral Service at 3:00 PM.
