Charles Ray Millis

November 3, 1937 - January 31, 2022

Charles Ray Millis, age 84 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away early Monday morning January 31, 2022 at Riverside Medical Center. He was a longtime truck driver for many different companies through the years, most recently hauling gravel for Randy Morris Trucking before retiring. Charles served his country and community in the Mississippi Army National Guard for 13 years. He was always proud to say, he had read the Bible through completely three times. Charles enjoyed working jigsaw and crossword puzzles, as well as playing dominoes. He liked older antique cars and visiting with people, because he never met a stranger. Charles was always a loving husband, father and grandfather that adored his family and cherished the time they spent together.

Survived by: Wife of 52 years: Judy Millis of Franklinton; 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Charlene Millis Ward, Robin Millis Magee and Daron Magee all of Franklinton; Grandchildren and Spouses: Dara Magee, Ashley Magee, Hemi Ward, Shelby Ward, Amy Creel, Jessica Stogner, Chelsea Millis Pogue and Eric Pogue, Mason and Chelsea Millis, Morgan Millis, Treat and Amber Magee, Allie and Vincent Chipman, Tristan Magee; Great-grandchildren: Katherine Ward, Cameron Thomas, Christian Thomas, Landon Gornor, Lane Stogner, Lucas Mayfield, Lineah Pogue, Sawyer Pogue, Hensley Pogue, Piper Millis, Hayden Magee, Kinsley Magee, Levi Chipman, Nathaniel Chipman; Sisters: Ada Pinkham, Betty Vandeford, Ina Puckett; Brother and a Sister in law: Oree and Shirley Ann Millis; Also numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son Fred Millis, parents Claud and Nola Millis, brothers Mitchell Millis, Junior Millis, Hughie Millis, Dale Millis and Mac Millis, sisters Katherine Sullivan, Jean Moore, Joyce Mac and husband Craig Williams and Faye Millings.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Sunday February 6th from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 10:00 am on Monday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Monday with Eld. Edward Penton officiating. Burial will follow in the Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa.
