Obituary

Lester Cornelius Williams 

October 18, 1970 - January 24, 2022

Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God believe also in me.  In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if i go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.  John 14: 1-3.

Lester Cornlius Williams, Jr., affectionately known as "Bobby", was born on October 18, 1970 in New Orleans, LA to Lester Williams, Sr., and the late Linda Williams.  He departed this earthly life peacefully at the age of 51 on Monday January 24, 2022 at North Oaks Medical Center.

Lester loved his family unconditionally and his family loved him just as much.  His passion was playing basketball.  H was known as "Mr. Hoops." He also enjoyed spending time with family, dancing, singing, listening to music and above all else making others laugh.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, a father; Lester Williams, Sr., one son; DaJarquis McCant, four grandchildren; Alana McCant, Zion McCant, and Josiah Wolridge, one brother; Curtis (Eshia) Williams, Sr., three sisters; Wilda Jenkins, Patsy (Jamar) Cleveland and Michelle Williams, a special loved one; Shannon Burton, 3 step daughters, 6 step grandchildren and one special grandson; Christian, two godsisters; Daphne Lowe and Diana Pressley and a godmother; Edna Lowe, Lifetime friends known as "The Rat Pack"; Brian McCant, Lewis Wilson, Kenny Matthews, Melvil Wilson, Donnie Tate, Fredrick Taylor, Lamar Dawson, Paul Buckhalter, and Tony Prewih  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Linda Williams and one sister, Debra Darensburg.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on February 4, 2022 at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home in Franklinton, Louisiana. A Family Gathering will follow from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The Funeral will be at 12:00 PM on February 5, 2022 at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness.
