Glenda Jones Smith

June 14, 1945 - May 28, 2021

On May 28, 2021, Mrs. Glenda Jones Smith passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Smith was a resident of Bogalusa and a member of Highland Baptist Church for over 20 years. She enjoyed being outside doing yardwork and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Mr. Harold Smith; two daughters: Melissa Fraser (Bobby) and Robin (David) Prophett; four grandchildren: Trevor (Kaitlin) Fraser, Courtney (Brandon) Bills, Madison Prophett, and Dillon Prophett; four great-grandchildren: Peyton Bills, Dalton Bills, Oakley Olah, and Karson Olah; one sister: Myrna (Wayne) Cotton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents: James Jones and Hilda Jones; an infant daughter; one brother: James Floyd Jones; one sister: Hilary Sue Dykes; a son-in-law: Edward “Trey” Randolph Fraser; and Mr. Willard “Woo” Singley.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Brown-McGehee Funeral Home and are as follows: Visitation is Friday, June 4, 2021 from 5PM-9PM and will continue on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 10AM until time of service at 11AM. Bro. Caleb Martin will officiate all services.

A celebration of life with refreshments will follow after interment at Highland Baptist Church.
