Robelia Strate Jacobs

August 21, 1944 - May 30, 2021

After a courageous battle with lung cancer, Mrs. Robelia (Bea) Strate Jacobs, age 76 went home to be with her Lord on May 30, 2021. 

Robelia, lovingly referred to as Bea, was born to Mr. Stephen Joseph Strate and Dr. Rose Strate on August 21, 1944 and was a life-long resident of Bogalusa, LA.  Bea graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1961 and went on to attend the University of Mississippi and Louisiana State University.  In 1963, Bea married Dr. James W. Jacobs and together they owned Jacobs Chiropractic Clinic from 1963 until 2008.  Bea truly enjoyed the fellowship of posting for her Facebook Coffee Club.  Bea was also a member of the Ladies of M.A.S.H.  since 1982.  Bea was a life long member of First Baptist Church of Bogalusa.

Bea is survived by her daughter Stephenie J. (James H. Jr.) Stillwell; son James W. Jacobs Jr. (Lina Rodriquez); and grandsons James H. Stillwell III and Jacob B. Stillwell.

Bea was preceded in death by her husband Dr. James W. Jacobs and her parents Stephen Joseph Strate and Rose Stupka Strate.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until time for the services at 2:00 P.m. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home with Entombment to follow at Ponemah Cemetery with Rev. Bob Adams officiating.
