ADAPT will be sponsoring a Community Unity Day On June 26th at Bogalusa Cassidy Park from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The purpose of this event is to bring the community together to share resources, educate our citizens, and share a good time with family and friends.
Washington Parish has a wealth of resources that many of our residents do not know are available. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about services that may benefit you or someone you know. Some of the scheduled vendors include ADAPT, Brilliantz Mindz, LSU AgCenter, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Bogalusa Head Start, Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office, and many more.
Education is one of the keys to success in life. Vendors will be teaching about substance use, sexual assault precautions, domestic violence, and other things. Activities will be plentiful for youth and adults to learn about areas of interest in a fun, informal way. Many of the vendors will be providing free giveaways. Some of the vendors include ADAPT’s Drug Free Communities, Partnership for Success, Washington Parish Sexual Assault Center, Rape Prevention Education, and more.
Washington Parish produces some of the finest Arts and Crafts. Vendors will be onsite to sell some of their products. Food is also a specialty in our parish. Some food vendors that are scheduled for the Community Unity Day Event include Creel’s Kettle Corn, Sneaux Balls 2 Go, and more.
If you know of anyone interested in being a vendor, please contact Rhonda Gunnell at 985/735-0160. Booths will be 10’x10’ and there is no charge for those who are promoting prevention, education, or services. Vendors who would like to sell arts and crafts or food will be required to make a $20 payment. Vendor fees for churches will be waived.
