Kenneth R. Daughdrill

Kenneth R. Daughdrill, age 88 and a longtime resident of Franklinton, Louisiana, died Thursday June 3, 2021 at the Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello, Mississippi after a lengthy illness. He was born in Crowville, Louisiana on November 15, 1932 to the late Herman L. Daughdrill and Mattie Thorne Daughdrill. Ken was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He taught Chemistry and Physics for 45 years, educating and mentoring countless young people at Franklinton High School for 30 years and later at Bowling Green School for 15 years. Ken served as Assistant Vice-Principal and was over discipline issues at both schools. He was a Christian and member of First Baptist Church of Franklinton.
Survived by: Wife of over 65 years: Dora Ann Cox Daughdrill of Franklinton; 2 Sons and Daughters in law: Glenn and Angie Daughdrill of Mandeville, LA, Byron and Laura Daughdrill of Jonesboro, AR; 6 Grandsons and Spouses: Aaron Daughdrill, Chase and Emily Daughdrill, Brett Daughdrill, Jake Daughdrill, Sean Brown, Ryan and Tessa Brown; 2 Granddaughters and Spouses: Ashley and Douglas Plaeger, Caroline and Michael Sutton; 2 Great-grandsons: Jack Henry Sutton, Logan Plaeger; Great-granddaughter: Finley Nicole Brown; 2 Brothers and Sisters in law: Tom and Ginger Daughdrill of Hammond, LA, Wayne and Kathy Daughdrill of Monroe, LA; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members
He was also preceded in death by his sister Betty Joyce Pardon, a young brother Gerald Daughdrill, father in law and mother in law John A. and Lily M. Cox, brothers in law and sisters in law John A. Cox, Jr., Leroy and Peggy Cox, Jeanette and J.C. Holmes, Marie and Gene Griffin, Mary Cox McCain, Betty and Bobby Nelson.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton. LA) on Saturday June 5th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Cody Warren and Rev. Joey Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Ellis Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers are Aaron Daughdrill, Jack Henry Sutton, Logan Plaeger and his many skeet shooting buddies.
