Clayton Lovan Jenkins

April 28, 1953 - February 24, 2021

Clayton Lovan Jenkins, age 67 and a resident of Pine, died Wednesday February 24, 2021 after an ATV accident near his home. He worked with horses most of his life. Clayton enjoyed riding horses and training them and even pulling wagons on trial rides. He was an “Old Cowboy” through and through. Clayton also enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors and always had a pack of coon dogs that he hunted with. He liked to take care of his chickens and other animals. Clayton will be sadly missed by his family and all those that knew him.

Survived by: 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Mona Angel’ and Roy Budde, Nora Michelle Jenkins all of Pine; 2 Sons and a Daughter in law: David and Rachel Jenkins, Daniel Lovan Jenkins all of Pine; Grandchildren and Spouses: Joshua and Debra Budde, Ariel and Jamey Duncan, Char-Lee and Emily Humphries, Chance Luke, Montana and Mendy Jenkins, Miranda and Nate Kitrell, Gabe Jenkins, Kaitlyn Jenkins, Ethan and Katie Jenkins, Tristan and Morgan Jenkins, Missouri Varnado, Jace Jenkins; Great-grandchildren: Madison, Kaliee, Jay, Kaylen, Raymond, Chloe, Branson, Brailey, Breona, Aiden, Ryder, Aiden, Remi Claire, Madison, Kaylee, Andrew, Luke; Sister and Brother in law: Judy and Kenneth Duncan of Pine; Also numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends

He was preceded in death by his son Dillie Andrew Jenkins, wife Lucille Jones Jenkins, parents Van Jenkins and Audrey Nobles Jenkins, brothers Elton Jenkins, Ottis Jenkins, Carlos Jenkins, sisters Mildred Creel, Verlia Miller, Carolyn Sharp.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday March 1st from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Tuesday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Tuesday with Rev. Billy Reyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Van Jenkins Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to help with final expenses.

Pallbearers: David Jenkins, Ethan Jenkins, Tristan Jenkins, Chance Luke, Joshua Budde, Austin Jarrell, Jamey Duncan, Roy Budde.
