Clifford Paul Elie, Sr.
April 10, 1943 - February 11, 2021
Clifford Paul Elie, Sr., ag 77 and a resident of the Stoney Point Community, died early Thursday morning February 11, 2021 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was a native of Brunswick, Maine and a resident of St. Bernard Parish for over 30 years. Cliff moved to Washington Parish following the destruction of Hurricane Katrina. He was a longtime truck driver that most recently drove a tanker truck for Oakley Trucking for 18 years. Cliff loved driving his rig and cared for all his Oakley family, who recently awarded him the Million Mile distinction. Cliff also worked for the New Orleans Police Department for 8 years prior to joining the trucking industry. He liked woodworking and mowing his yard. Cliff loved spending time with his family, especially at the numerous crawfish boils they enjoyed each season.
Survived by: Wife of 59 years: Judy Albrecht Elie of Stoney Point; 2 Sons and a Daughter in law: Cliff Elie, Jr. and Theresa Elie of Folsom, Chris Elie of Covington; Daughter and Son in law: Annette and Benny Acosta of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; Grandchildren and Spouses: Ashley and Ryan Lopez, Gabrielle and Robert Pepperman, Brandon and Taylor Acosta, Amber and Adam Hode, Madison Elie, Carter Elie, Kate Elie, Steven L. Elie, Jr., Jason Elie; Great-grandchildren: Colton Lopez, Amelia Acosta, Dominic Elie, Hayden Elie; 2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Pamela and Pappy Labbie of Maine, Meredith LoSasso of New Jersey; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members
He was preceded in death by his son Steven Lorenzo Elie, Sr., parents Arthur Elie, Sr. and Georgia Bell Coffin Elie, brothers Arthur Elie, Jr. and Fred Elie.
A private service will be held for his family.
