Franklinton Man Jailed on Numerous Charges

On Monday (May 20, 2019) the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Jermaine Detron Anders (28), a resident of Annie David Road, on charges  including the possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated assault with a firearm, intimidating a witness and two counts of failure to appear in court.

Anders is no stranger to the Washington Parish Jail, having been incarcerated on five previous occasions beginning in December 2008. Previous charges were disturbing the peace, criminal damage to property, domestic abuse of a pregnant woman, and three counts of failure to appear in court. Anders remains in jail on his current charges, with his bond set at $2,350.

“Is it possible Mr. Anders likes our parish jail,” asked Sheriff Randy Seal. “There must be some attraction since he continues to return. Hopefully, one of these arrests will serve as a wake-up call for him to change his direction in life.”
