Wrong Time – Wrong Place – Now in Jail

Travis A. Beauvais (33), a resident of Chess Bankston Road in Mt. Hermon, was arrested

Tuesday (May 21, 2019) on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court. As Bankston approached the intersection of Highways 25 and 10, he was recognized by a member of the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force who was aware of the outstanding warrant.

Beauvais was stopped, arrested and transported to the Washington Parish Jail. He remains in jail with his bond set at $1,000.

“This is another good example of pro-active law enforcement,” stated Sheriff Randy Seal. “I don’t know why Mr. Beauvais was in contempt of court, but hopefully this will be a lesson for him to always honor directives from a judge.”
