The Fiscal Review Committee met today (February 18, 2019) in Baton Rouge. The City of Bogalusa was one of three municipalities whose finances were addressed. Speaking before the committee were Mayor Wendy Perrette, Director of Administration Stacie Smith, Council members Gloria Kates and Oneita Graham, former Council member Thomas Kates, Senator Beth Mizell, and Representative Malinda White.
After discussions, the Fiscal Review Committee reached a unanimous determination that the City of Bogalusa is not financially stable and that the process should go forward to petition the court to appoint a Fiscal Administrator.
