District Attorney Warren Montgomery reports that on Tuesday (August 28, 2018) a Washington Parish grand jury indicted Clyde Waymon Williams (83) of Monette, Arkansas on charges of first degree rape of a victim under 13 and sexual battery of a victim under 13.Williams is accused of raping an 11-year-old girl at a hotel in Franklinton in December 2017.
Assistant District Attorney Ysonde Boland presented the case to the grand jury.
Williams was arrested on May 19, 2018 following a lengthy investigation conducted by the Franklinton Police Department.
Due to the age of the victim, additional information has being withheld.
